Intels Nigeria Limited has made extensive capital investments in order to build and develop reliable, efficient, world-class oil and gas logistic bases and Oil Service Centers in the Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone, Warri and Calabar. These facilities, located within the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) areas, are designed to meet the current logistics needs of the oil and gas industry whilst anticipating the need for future growth.
The Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone, Warri Ports and Calabar Port are operated under the authority of the NPA and Nigerian legislation requires all imports to be cleared through NPA port facilities. The concept of developing infrastructure within NPA facilities and complying with the rules and regulations of the NPA - together with the development of Customs - guarantee the efficient supply of materials and equipment. In the Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone the NPA also provides continuous naval patrols to insure uninterrupted operations.
In 2006, Intels’ designation by the NPA changed from Terminal Operator to that of Concession Operator. This gave Intels the opportunity to offer dedicated quay/jetty space to clients, giving them greater logistic control than previously possible while still maintaining high levels of service and investment, which have been hallmarks of Intels’ operations.
