Warri Port Complex

Intels Nigeria Limited kicked off its operations in Warri Old Port Complex in 1984. Activities were drastically reduced in early 2000s, but picked up again at full capacity due to the Escravos Gas-to-Liquid (EGTL) projects.

The Warri Port complex was finally declared a Free Zone in May 2011. In the meantime, the Port already worked at full potential, providing complete, reliable and efficient services, as available in the other Intels operated terminals, at all times meeting the high standards requested by its customers.

In the late 1980s, Warri New Port was built on the basis of the One-Stop-Shop idea, to cover the Western Delta area and attract oil companies with cost-effective benefits. Since then, Intels have been offering complete services, packages and dedicated facilities with the same, exclusive concept to the Oil and Gas industry.
The port of Warri, enjoying the status of Free Zone, represents an ideal solution for the development of business, providing its customers with dedicated equipment, personnel and facilities (warehouses, storage areas, liquid storage areas), in a strategical geographical location placed between Lagos and Onne port district, which may be considered as an alternative option to the heavily congested Lagos/Apapa port complex. An ongoing NPA plan to increase the available draft from the entry channel up to the commercial jetties is in progress as well.
The Intels Residential Camp is an exclusive solution within walking distance, with accommodation and apartments furnished to international standards, as well as sports and leisure facilities, 24/7 private security and all the best comforts.

Warri Terminal

Over the years, Warri Port has increased its facilities and services, standing as an important base for the EGTL project implemented by Chevron. The location makes the port an ideal spot for landing, swamping and low water activity nearby.

It is developed on a total area of 1,530,000 Sqm. divided into two areas, Warri New Port (1,020,000 Sqm) and Warri Old Port (530,000 Sqm). The draft depth is 8 m and allows vessels to dock easily and safely. Ships are unloaded along the quay; dedicated machinery and Intels personnel handle goods in complete safety, reducing the risk of damage.

Equipment and vehicles undergo a system of checks and maintenance in order to provide an excellent service.

The Warri port is a sited within and oil and gas Free Zone, meaning that companies working on its areas can enjoy all the benefits, incentives and advantages.
